How to be independent.
Freedom is the most important thing one can have, and many people can agree with me when I'm saying if you have freedom you have everything. A freedom of speech and a freedom to do whatever you like, not being controlled by anyone and not being told what to do. If you take away someone's freedom it means you have taken everything away from that person.
One may not realise the importance of freedom until its taken away. Having freedom to do anything you like is priceless and unfortunately many people realise this a bit too late. If you want to fully understand this ask an ex convict and black people who lived under apartheid government in south Africa. Someone who has found herself/himself in prison, left his friends and family behind will tell you that the first thing that comes in mind when you are there is self destruction. One day spent behind prison bars feels like a year even to the hard core criminals who knows exactly that they deserve to be there because of the crimes they committed.
Many people who were denied freedom of movement, speech and association under apartheid government in south Africa knows the importance of freedom. Ahmed kathrada,Govan Mbeki,Dennis Goldberg and Nelson Mandela knows the importance of freedom that's the reason why they had refused to tolerate apartheid and as a result they ended up in prison arrested for fighting their own freedom and of their people. Many people still struggle to understand how Nelson Mandela had survived 27 years in prison and still came out and managed to forgive the people who arrested him.
Strict parents.
Some of the parents because of the huge amount of love they have for their children end up setting endless boundaries for them. The second children feel that they don't have enough freedom to do their own things, they begin to think that their parents are cruel and unfair. From an early age children should be given freedom to do their own things and of course rules are required here and there.
Freedom and responsibility.
Freedom is very nice and fun but many youngsters and some adults don't realise that there more you have freedom to do your own things, there more responsibilities you have. By having freedom to do all sorts of things means you got the responsibility to pay your bills and taking care of yourself.
Some wise people says the one who feeds you has power over you and controls you. So when you want to be fully independent as a young person or an adult you got to be financially independent. Working for someone means you still don't have all the freedom you may need but creating yourself employment or starting your own business gives you more freedom to do whatever you may like.
So you want to be independent, you got to be willing to work hard and create yourself opportunities.
