We had no electricity, running water, schools, libraries and health facilities in our small village. The only thing we had at home was just a small radio, TV's were very rare to have in a family at that time and we had to pay 20 cents to watch a small black and white TV set at our next-door neighbor.
Radio and reading.
Those two things had helped me to dream and think big. I had no choice but to think big like a man with family responsibilities because of my circumstances, that's when I had realized that tough situations can build you or break you.
So I had a dream of becoming a better person way beyond the village I lived in, just like civil rights activist Dr Martin lurther king junior who had a big dream of seeing his children living in a country that his kids were not going to be charged by the colour of their skin but by the content of their characters.
Regardless of our family and cultural backgrounds and our current circumstances, we should always think and dream big in our lives.
Big move.
After spending my childhood life in a small village, but because of my big dreams immediately after I matriculated ,the big move had to be made to the big city(Johannesburg).
Big dreams attracts big moves in one's life. Without a big dream there is no big move, if I didn't have big dreams I would still be living in our small village looking after my grandfather's cows.
I love and miss our village so much but these days I spent much of my time in the big city many miles away from my old high school friends and my family back home because of my big dreams.
But nevertheless the chase of my dreams is still on...
Wherever you are from all over the world I hope and believe that you will be inspired and motivated to take a step into your own life by this beautiful story of a young an ambitious guy...
